Broad Ripple / Indianapolis 1922 Annexation remonstration documentation
This document was prepared by residents of the then town of Broad Ripple, Indiana in 1922 to oppose the pending annexation of Broad Ripple by the city of Indianapolis. It contains the boundaries of the area to be annexed and many pages of names and addresses of people that opposed it.

We thought this document would be interesting to current Indianapolis residents to see how our city grew.

Also to genealogists researching their family history. This document shows where many people were living in 1922. This can be useful by finding out who might have been living in the house with your relative or who lived next door. Relatives often lived near one another. This can uncover new leads in your research.
